Inaugural Fundraiser
Fundraiser Ends With Much Success!
The Inaugural Chicago Promises Literacy Book Fundraiser was a success. We collected
over 2000 books from generous donations! Thank you to everyone that participated, donated, volunteered and helped raise
awareness. The books will soon be distributed to Literacy programs. Thank you for participating!
Belief statement
Promising literacy to our Chicago communities is a large
task. It is our hope to provide thousands of books to programs all across the city. It all starts with your involvement and
our distribution in order to work together to better the future of our society.
Take Action
October 1, 2006 - January 31, 2007 Collect as many books
as you can from friends and family. Send us an e-mail at CPLFundraiser@yahoo.com or contact Susan at 773-733-1054 to confirm
the number of books you wish to donate and an appropriate time for pick up or drop off.
Where Do Your Donations End Up?
Chicago Promises Literacy will distribute the books through
the National Center for Family Literacy’s directory for this fundraiser,
http://www.famlit.org/Directory/index.cfm.
